The Second Halal Food Culinary Art Competition
As one important supporting activity for the Second China (Qinghai) International Halal Food and Products Fair and the First Qinghai International Halal Food Fair, the Second Halal Food Culinary Art Competition will be co-hosted by Chinese Hotel Association and Qinghai Commercial Federation on Oct.12th-13th, 2008 in Xining, China. Details are as follows: 1. Date and Venue 1) Date: Oct.12th--13th, 2008. 2) Venue: Huade Commerce Pedestrian Street, Shuijing Lane, Xining City. 2. Theme of this competition With the theme of "Healthy and Nutritious Halal food", this competition aims to strengthen the cuisine culture exchanges in mid and west regions, even whole China and to promote social harmony and scientific development of Halal Catering Industry, emphasizing popularity, competitiveness and specialty. 3. Contents 1) Chinese famous Halal snakes and International delicacies Exhibition 120 International standard exhibit booths are arranged in the Chinese Famous Halal Snakes and International Delicacies Exhibition. Not only various Chinese tasty snakes, but only Indian, Turkic, Korean, Japanese and Thai distinctive snakes will be exhibited. After the exhibition, the Organizing Committee will praise the most popular Chinese famous snakes according to the turnover statistic and recommendations from both consumers and the jury. 2) Performance by Chinese famous Halal Culinary Art Masters The organizing committee will invite well-known Culinary Art Masters to perform cooking techniques of Handmade Noodles, India Flying Cake and lamb handling. Good performers will be honored certificates. 3) Famous Halal Cuisine, Snake and Banquet Competition Chefs, serving in famous hotels and restaurants in Qinghai and other places around China, will cook famous cuisines, snakes and banquets, with food materials such as lumb, yak meat or others provided. After judged by national-certified jury, golden, silver and bronze medals will be awarded to the winners. 4) Halal Culinary Master Selection Special-invited judging committee consisting of national-certified Culinary Art Masters and judges will operate theoretical tests and defenses to the gold-medal winners. Participants with excellent results will be honored the Halal Culinary Art Master Reward. 4. Details 1) Based on the market-oriented, economy and pragmatism principles and commercial operation, organizing committee will recruit entitled organizations and sponsors various industries.
