The first China (Qinghai) International Halal Food and Products Fair was held in November 2007.  200 Exhibitors and 110 thousand visitors from 22 countries participated in the 3-day Fair with a contract amount of 196 million USD.  The exhibition area reached 18,000 square meters.
　　Co-hosted by China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) and the People's Government of Qinghai Province, this fair was convened in Qinghai Chengnan International Exhibition Center. Mr. Qiang Wei, Party Secretary and Chairman of the Standing Committee of Qinghai Province declared the Fair open. Mr. Li Jingcheng, the Standing Committee and the vice Governor of Qinghai Province, delivered the opening speech. Mr. Wan Jifei, Chairman of CCPIT and Mr. Adnan Casar, President of Arab Agriculture, Industry and commerce Union also gave speeches on the opening ceremony.

　　As the support organizations, China National Food Industry Association, China Islamic Association, China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Light Industrial Products and Arts-Crafts (CCCLA), Arab Agriculture, Industry and commerce Union, Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation, China-Arab Joint Chamber of Commerce and China-ASEAN Business Council (CABC) organized procurers and exhibitors to attend this fair. Furthermore, invited by CCPIT, Iran and Malaysia established their National Pavilions. Many Foreign counterparts, such as China-Arab Joint Chamber of Commerce and Iraqi Kurdistan Importers and Exporters Association, led procuring delegations to Xining for this fair.

　　Various kinds of companies attended this fair, covering producers of Halal food, seasoning, beverage, health care products and product facility and also the owners of relevant technologies and brands. Muslim supplies such as Muslim garments and crafts were also exhibited in this fair. In this fair, 21 business and trade agreements were signed among Chinese Halal Food and Products companies mainly in Qinghai Region and foreign exhibitors and procurers, with a total amount of 196 million USD.

　　In the afternoon, co-hosted by the People's Government of Qinghai Province and CCPIT, the Business Corporation and development Forum of China and Muslim countries was held in Xi’ning. Mr. Wan Jifei, Chairman of CCPIT, Mr. Luo Yulin, Vice Governor of Qinghai Province were presented in this forum. Delegations from more than 10 countries and more than 100 Chinese Halal Food and Products companies attended this forum.
